The Story:

After the mysterious disappearance of one of Buffy's favorite teachers, Dr. Gregory, the exotic substitue, Ms. French, takes over the Scoobies' science class. She shows an immediate interest in Xander and star football player, Blayne Mall, as well as in insect world, the preying mantis in particular. When Cordelia finds Dr. Gregory's body, minus his head in the school refridgerator and Blayne disappears after his one-on-one session with Ms. French, Buffy becomes suspicious. Buffy's theory that Ms. French is really a gigantic preying mantis is initally scoffed at by Giles until he remembers his old friend Caryle's similar theory. It turns out that Ms. French is really a She-Mantis, a giant preying-manits who can take the form of a beautiful young woman in order to prey on virgins, whom she uses to fertilize her eyes. Buffy finds Xander and Blayne before Ms. French has a chance to mate with or behead them. With the help of a machette Buffy kills the She-Mantis and Xander destroys her eggs, or so they think.
