The Story:

On a school field trip to the zoo the school's pack of bullies is out in full force. When Xander goes into the off-limits Hyenia house to save another student, Lance, he, along with the bullies, get possessed by the hyenias. At first Xander's strange behavior is attributed to the fact that he'a a teenage boy. After Xander's behavior becomes more vicious, especially towards Willow, Buffy gets suspicious that something else is at work. Her suspicions are backed up when the school's new mascot, Herbert the pig, is found eaten. In his animal state Xander's attraction to Buffy is less subtle and he nearly rapes her while the rest of the pack eat Mr. Flutie, after being sent to the Principal's office. Buffy and Giles turn to the zookeeper for help in unpossessing the students. Unfortunately the zookeeper was looking to control the hyenia's power all along and briefly gets his wish when the spirits possessing the students get transferred to him. His power is short lived though, ending when Buffy throws him into the Hyenia pit.
