The Story:

It's Halloween and buisness at the Magic Box is booming. After closing the store, Xander and Anya officially announce their engagement to the rest of the Scoobies. The gang reconvienes at the Summers' home to celebrate the engagement. Dawn convinces Buffy to let her spend the night at her friend Janice's house. Instead, it is revealed that the girls planned to wander the steets with a couple of older boys to do some Halloween mischief. Their plan is uncovered and the Scoobies go in search of the girls. The boys Dawn and Janice are with turn out to be vampires, who are deciding if they want to change the girls into vampires or just feed off them. Willow and Tara get in a fight over magic, which Willow later uses a spell to make Tara forget. Buffy, Spike, and Giles find the girls in time and Dawn is forced to kill her first love before facing a stern lecture about her behavior from Giles.

Giles: He kept poking me with his hook. I sent him over to charmed objects. With any luck, he'll poke the wrong one and end up in an alternate dimension inhabited by a 50-foot Giles that squishes annoying, teeny pirates.
