The Story:
- - From Beneath You It Devours - -
A girl with pink hair is being chased through a German office building. She nearly escapes but is caught by a mysterious robed figure and stabbed. As she dies she intones 'From beneath you it devours'. In Sunnydale Buffy awakes from a dream of the same scene worrying that more girls were going to die. At Sunnydale High Buffy starts her job as a counsler. Willow leaves the safety of England and begins her journey back to Sunnydale. Xander meets a girl, Nancy, whose dog just got eaten by a burrowing monster. A much saner Spike appears at the Summer's house offering to help Buffy, which she reluctantly accepts. Xander discovers that Nancy had made a wish to Anyanka and the worm monster that has been attacking her is really her ex. Spike stabs the worm monster just as Xander convinces Anya to reverse the wish. Buffy follows Spike into a church where he finally admits to her that his crazy behavior is caused by his recently restored soul.
