The Story:
- - You'll Have To Dress For The Ambiguity - -
Giles is explaining how he barely avoided being beheaded by one of the First's Bringers when he is tackled by Spike. At first he is surprised when Spike's chip doesn't go off and then becomes angry when Buffy explains that she decided to have it removed. Xander meets a girl, Lyssa, and asks her out for coffee. Principal Wood catches Buffy snooping around in his office and asks out for dinner. Meanwhile, the First, as Jonathan, tries to convince Andrew to kill the Potentials. On their way to dinner Wood and Buffy get ambushed. Buffy is shocked to learn that Wood is the son of a slayer. Xander's date, once again, turns out to be a demon who is planning to kill him. Wood notices the lingering connection between Buffy and Spike while they are fighting Lyssa. Buffy convinces Spike to stay in town though the First made it clear it wasn't done with him yet while Wood receives a visit from the First, in the form of his mother, who informs him that her killer was Spike.

Buffy: No. You have to stay.
